  • New to Kessingland - very sheltered housing, library and cafe coming in autumn 2009 (22/02/2008)

    Kessingland Very Sheltered Housing Scheme Do you live in Kessingland or nearby?

    Do you have a need for at least four hours care, support and help per week?

    If so, you can register your interest with Flagship Housing Group for this new Very Sheltered Housing Scheme.

    Eligilbility will normally include you:

    - being 60 or over
    - being a resident of Kessingland or having a local connection to the area, such as a close family member (e.g. son, daughter, next of kin).


    Be sure to register your interest early by calling Flagship Housing Group today on 01603 255414 to see whether you are eligible.

    32 flats are available, with choices of renting or buying part or all of your flat. All ‘for sale’ flats will be sold on a leasehold, with Flagship responsible for repairs and maintenance in all shared spaces of the scheme.

  • Equality for All (02/01/2008)
    The Flagship Housing Group today launched its first Disability Equality Scheme.

    The Scheme, which was developed by the tenants of Flagship's Diversity Advisory Group, aims to:

    · Promote equality of opportunity for disabled people

    · Eliminate discrimination

    · Eliminate harassment of disabled people

    · Promote positive attitudes towards disabled people

    · Encourage participation by disabled people in public life

    Paul Tabiner, Flagship's Group Chief Execustive said, 'I am grateful to all those who have been involved in the preparation of this Scheme and I look forward to seeing the anticipated additional quality of life improvements achieved over the coming months'.

  • Peddars Way welcomes Green Ventures (13/11/2007)

    Meet the team! Keystone Development Trust has leased an extra retail unit from Peddars Way Housing Association on York Way in Thetford to continue their Green Ventures furniture project. The scheme relies on the generosity of the public to donate unwanted furniture and white goods to promote recycling. This new site will help to build on the huge success that the project has achieved over the last two years.

  • Painting a brighter future (06/11/2007)

    Paula admiring Nor's paintwork Peddars Way Housing Association (member of Flagship Housing Group), in partnership with ZFL (Zone for Learning), have got together to provide some aspiring young painters with the opportunity of putting their skills to the test. Paula Dimmock, a Peddars Way tenant and wheelchair user, allowed her home to be the place for two students to gain valuable work experience.

  • Helping us to help you (01/10/2007)
    Flagship needs your help. We would like to know about your experience of our services, good or bad so that we can better understand what matters to you and how we can improve what we do.

    Today the Group is beginning a range of new ways to measure how happy its customers are with the services it provides, this includes tenants and staff surveying customers and the launch of an online satisfaction survey questionnaire

  • Affordable housing in heart of the community (17/09/2007)

    New resident talking to Sara Mildmay-White, St Edmundsbury councillor A special ribbon-cutting ceremony took place at Cotton Lane on Friday,
    7th September to celebrate the opening of 25 new homes, providing much needed affordable housing in the heart of Bury St Edmunds. St Edmundsbury councillor Sara Mildmay-White and Kings’ Forest Housing chairman, Rosemary London, officially opened the scheme.

  • Safety in numbers: agencies working together (24/08/2007)

    Alley-gating on the Abbey Estate Peddars Way Housing Association, a member of Flagship Housing Group, in joint partnership with the Abbey Tenants’ & Residents’ Association, Thetford Fire Service, Thetford Police Safer Neighbourhood Team and Breckland Council has improved a once troubled estate into a safer place to live. Since 2003, the incidents of arson regarding stolen or abandoned vehicles have been radically reduced by over 80%.

  • Opportunity knocks: qualifications for an independent future (24/08/2007)

    Adelle telling her story On Wednesday 25th July, HEART Foyers and The Foyer for Ipswich launched the Accessible Learning Project to teach young homeless people life skills through an official City and Guilds qualification along with course manager training qualification for their support workers. The launch was officiated by the Mayor of Ipswich, Inga Lockington and residents from the HEART Foyers and The Foyer for Ipswich were there to celebrate the £100,000 grant funding from the Learning Skills Council and the European Social Fund. 28 residents and nine staff will benefit from the new courses beginning this month.

  • It's a family affair - Tom Turley Close (24/08/2007)

    The family of Tom Turley with the Mayor of Watton, Keith Gilbert Peddars Way Housing Association, a member of Flagship Housing Group, has provided 20 new homes in Watton. On Friday, 3rd August, a ribbon-cutting ceremony took place at Tom Turley Close performed by Keith Gilbert, mayor of Watton, and Andrew Egerton-Smith, Chairman of Peddars Way.

  • Meeting our tenants' needs - successful joined-up thinking (31/05/2007)

    The Purchase Family The Purchases now have a home to be proud of thanks to the efforts of the Norfolk Primary Care Trust, Social Services, Norwich City Council and Flagship Housing Group coming together to provide this family of five with a home to suit their needs. When new houses were planned for Boston Street in Norwich, co-operation and forward thinking were key to the housing of the Purchase family.

  • Skills for building a brighter future (22/05/2007)

    Peter Rourke and Dave Southwell in the workshop Breckland Council, Peddars Way Housing Association and Norfolk Constabulary, partners within Breckland's Crime and Disorder Reduction Partnership (CDRP), are celebrating the achievements of 15 year old Peter Rourke who has completely turned his life around.
