Flagship Foyers offer a springboard to independent living by providing a home, support and access to training and employment for young adults aged between 16 and 25.
The story of Flagship Foyers began in 1998 when Suffolk Heritage Housing Association created Housing Employment and Rural Training Limited (HEART), a charitable company. Its mission was to provide offering supported housing for young people aged between 16 and 25 in a "Foyer" environment, giving them independence, confidence and assisting them in reaching their full potential. Through offering supported housing and opportunities HEART began helping young people break the cycle of no job - no home - no job.
HEART was rebranded HEART Foyers in 2002, and in 2003 was given formal accreditation by the trade body The Foyer Federation for a quality service (The Foyer Federation's website contains more details). In 2009 HEART Foyers underwent another rebranding and is now known as Flagship Foyers.

Where are Flagship Foyers based?
We have nine Foyers across Norfolk and Suffolk - in Cromer, Sheringham, Stalham, Eye, Stowmarket, Halesworth, Felixstowe, Framlingham and Leiston. There are a total of 69 furnished bedsits across the Foyers, each having a shared kitchen with cooking and laundry facilities, a shared bathroom and a communal lounge. IT equipment with internet access is available for residents' use.
Every Foyer has two dedicated Community Managers available to assist residents in obtaining training and employment, and for general help and advice. A vital part of the Community Manager's role is to prepare the resident to live independently by carrying out regular keyworking sessions with the resident and preparing an action plan.
