A great time was had by all at the recent Braintree Festival, as Flagship Suffolk Heritage Community Manager Sallie Nicol explains:
"The event was organised by Essex Police, and there were loads of stalls on the day. The Children's Society were on-hand to give drug and alcohol advice, the police put their cars on show, the Army brought along a mobile climbing wall and Essex County Council brought their Youth Bus.
"It was really funny watching the StarWars Stormtroopers being given an aerobics lesson by Braintree Leisure Centre!" says Sallie.
"Prior to the event we sent out invitations to young people aged between 8 and 18 to attend and take part in the Flagship art competition. This was a chance for us to meet our younger customers and find out what living in a Flagship home and community meant to them. We had a really good turn out - it was really pleasing to see so many people!"
"The first 20 people who presented an invitation letter were given a special Flagship Goody Bag. We are still judging the entrants but the winners will soon be contacted!"
"All in all a great day was had by everyone involved and we look forward to attending next year!"
