In addition to our basic Lifeline alarm package, Flagship Telecare provides a number of linked devices, collectively known as assistive technology. These devices work in conjunction with our Lifeline alarm and are installed by our team of professional Telecare installers.

Fall detector
In some instances you may not be able to press your pendant following a fall, for example if you are experiencing an epileptic seizure, or if you have hurt yourself when you have fallen. At times like this a fall detector will automatically raise an alarm to the Telecare Service Centre to let us know you have fallen and haven't got back up again. Worn around the waist, this simple and discrete device also has a button that can be used to raise an alert instead of a pendant.
Flood detector
The flood detector is a simple, wireless device that can be positioned anywhere in your home where there is a risk of accidental or environmental flooding. This device is particularly useful for people who may be prone to leaving taps running in the kitchen, toilet or bathroom. As soon as moisture is detected on the underside of the device, an audible alarm is sounded and a call is made to the Telecare Service Centre to advise us of a flood within the property.
Medication dispenser
Medication dispensers are particularly useful for individuals who may forget to take their daily medication. The device is programmed with the times medication should be taken, and will sound an alert to remind you it is time to take them. If the medication is not taken the device will alert the Telecare Service Centre, where one of our friendly members of staff will telephone you to advise you haven't yet taken your medication.

Passive Infra Red detector
Passive Infra Red (PIR) detectors can be used in a wide variety of applications. They can be used as intruder alert devices, wirelessly sending a message to the Lifeline alarm unit, which in turn informs the response centre of a potential break-in to your property. They can also be used for monitoring inactivity in a property, again alerting the response centre if no motion is detected for a period of time. Lastly PIR's can be used to detect falls, whereby if you drop below the height of the PIR it will assume you have had a fall.

Radio pull cord
Pull cords are mounted on the ceiling around your home, and work in the same way as pushing the button on your pendant. For example you may wish to have pull cords installed in places you wouldn't ordinarily wear your pendant, such as the bathroom, or beside your bed. Pull cords require little installation and are battery powered.

Wireless smoke detector
Our wireless smoke detectors work in exactly the same way as domestic smoke detectors, sounding a high pitch alarm when smoke is detected in your property. Unlike conventional smoke detectors, these devices also send a signal to your Lifeline alarm, which in turn alerts the Telecare Service Centre who can summon the fire service on your behalf.

Temperature extreme sensor
This device will detect extreme highs and lows of temperature in your home. For example, if the sensor detects a high level of heat in your property it will alert the Telecare Service Centre of a potential fire. Similarly, if it detects that your property is particularly cold (less than 12 degrees centigrade) it will alert us. This is particularly useful in the prevention of hyperthermia.

Carbon monoxide detector
Carbon monoxide detectors will warn you, and the Telecare Service Centre, of dangerous levels of carbon monoxide in your home. Carbon monoxide is a poisonous gas given off by faulty heating equipment.
Other available devices
There are many more linked Assistive Technology devices available, including bed and chair occupancy sensors that can help detect night time falls, epilepsy and enuresis sensors, carer pager alert systems and many others.
