Flagship Response - 24 7

How telecare can help

With more of us living longer, care at home threatens to be increasingly costly. However, telecare helps sick, disabled and older people to remain at home for longer by supporting them 24/7 with electronic alarms, alerts, health monitoring and communication which is linked up to a central response centre where immediate help can be summoned the moment it's needed.

Flagship Telecare has a range of innovative solutions designed for precisely that. Our equipment can help those who suffer a fall or have dementia or a learning difficulty.

Falls

The fear of falling can have a devestating impact on someone's independence and quality of life.

It is estimated that 8,000 elderly people fall every day, with the overwhelming majority of falls (70%) happening at night.

  • Our falls detector, which is worn on a belt around the waist senses the impact and angle of a fall and will raise an immediate response from our 24-hour monitoring centre.
  • Our bed occupancy sensor will alert us if the person has left their bed and not returned during a pre-set time period, again indicating a possible fall.
  • Our passive infra red detector will raise an alert if a long period of inactivity is detected, signalling if a person has not moved around their home and that they may have fallen.

Dementia

Around 1 in 20 people in the UK over 65, 1 in 5 over 80 and 1 in 3  over 90 live with dementia, with 40% of dementia sufferers experiencing purposeful walking.

  • Our property exit sensor provides us with early warning by alerting us that the person has left their home and not returned within a pre-set time period.

Learning difficulties

Around 1.5 million people in the UK live with a learning difficulty

  • Our range of sensors can be tailored to meet the needs of the individual, helping them to live a full and enriching life.
