Flagship receives gold accreditation for commitment to tackling domestic abuse

Flagship has received Gold accreditation by the Domestic Abuse Housing Alliance (DAHA), the UK’s highest award that recognises excellence in domestic abuse practice.

DAHA benchmarks standards of practice for the housing sector in the UK, and this confirms the provider’s commitment to tackling domestic abuse, supporting survivors, and training staff.

Flagship, part of Bromford Flagship LiveWest (BFL), has an in-house Domestic Abuse team that works with customers in the east of England experiencing domestic abuse. The team provides practical housing-related support, assisting customers to access domestic abuse services such as securing legal orders against perpetrators.

Flagship also helps survivors secure safe housing, whether that means making their current home more secure, finding refuge accommodation, or moving into a new long-term home.

Victoria Seales, Head of Safe Communities at Bromford Flagship LiveWest, said: “We’re committed to supporting anyone experiencing domestic abuse, and so to be re-accredited by DAHA at the Gold standard is an achievement we’re extremely proud of.

“It’s testament to how hard our team works at being there and supporting those in need. Ultimately, we want to ensure that anyone facing abuse knows they are not alone and that we are here to help at what can be a very overwhelming time.”

Previously being awarded accreditation in 2025, the recognition comes after Flagship launched the domestic abuse service in 2022 in response to an increased demand for the service post Covid. Since then, the organisation has helped over 2,500 survivors who have experienced abuse from current or former partners, or family members.

If you, or someone you know, are experiencing domestic abuse, Flagship has a live chat, online form, and phone line available here. The page also has information and resources on Flagship’s services, as well as how to go about recognising signs of potential domestic abuse.
